User talk:ArceusInator
Hi. if you have anything to say to me that you'd rather not put in a PM, post it here!
History
Don't worry about losing work, you can just use the page's history to find all your edits and transfer it to new pages. Camoy • Contribs (December 27 2010)
- I know, that's what I did. Just don't blank pages without transferring the data first. That way no one wastes time. --ArceusInator 22:09, 27 December 2010 (UTC)
- That's what I keep telling myself. Unfortunately, I'm niether a good teacher or listener. --ArceusInator 22:31, 27 December 2010 (UTC)
Umm.. what? Being a Wiki writer means you should be good at teaching, explaining, and scripting... Camoy • Contribs (December 27 2010)
- That's called sarcasm :D BTW, how did you do that with your sig? --ArceusInator 22:36, 27 December 2010 (UTC)
- My Preferences. He used wiki markup for it. Emess talk 22:40, 27 December 2010 (UTC)

- I'll just use this. --ArceusInator 22:46, 27 December 2010 (UTC)

Wrong ... just sloppy.
The correct word on HttpPost and HttpGet is URI not URL! How do you not know this? You're a Wiki writer/editor.--MrNicNac 16:26, 30 December 2010 (UTC)
- What? I've never heard of a "URI"... okay, just googled it. I see now. --ArceusInator 18:02, 30 December 2010 (UTC)
Function redirects
Don't create redirects from the (Function) pages if they don't already exist. Just make the method pages. Nothing links to the function pages
- Okay --ArceusInator 20:06, 30 December 2010 (UTC)
Your Contribution to Pages With Object: Prefix
You are making the pages incorrectly. We are supposed to use the new object template now, and there is some good documentation there for you to read. Have a nice day, and make sure to use the correct template.

Empty Redirects
Please create the page before you create a redirect to it. Empty redirects confuse users who search. Camoy • Contribs (January 27 2011)
- Okay--ArceusInator 16:08, 28 January 2011 (UTC)
- Yes. I was about to make a comment here about it. There are a lot of broken redirects and you have to fill the pages in so I can mark the pages that really need deletion without bothering any of your undergoing projects. Emess talk 01:26, 30 January 2011 (UTC)
Template redesigns
Before you spend too long designing your own, have you seen this one?
Eww!
I reverted your property/methods/events pages because they looked horrible. Before you make a _major_ edit like that, please make sure it is cross-browser compatible. Also, I prefer these: Template:Property/new. You don't?
- I don't really like how the name runs in with the value. I also don't like how it doesn't really fit in with the object page. And, yeah, I forgot to check if it was compatile with differrent browsers.--ArceusInator 02:51, 7 February 2011 (UTC)
- "I don't really like how the name runs in with the value" - You mean the type precedes the name? You're not a true programmer if you don't prefer that notation.
- I think he means the part that says (Method/Property/Event). Either way, don't edit major templates like that unless we all approve of it. Make a draft first.
- I DID make drafts: (Event, Property, Method, and The complete object page). I also posted them on the wiki group's wall asking for feedback and everything everyone said to me was supportive.--ArceusInator 13:43, 8 February 2011 (UTC)
- Ah. I don't see that at my end. Silly IE
- I'm on IE7 and I can see them. You can't see the actual templates on the template page, but you can see the previews.--ArceusInator 21:43, 12 February 2011 (UTC)

Broken redirects
Bro. Fix it, please. Emess talk 05:19, 25 March 2011 (UTC)
Service Suffix
Remember that the (Service) suffix is out of date. They should always be (Object). Thanks. --Anaminus 21:48, 15 May 2011 (UTC)
- I didn't get the memo. I'll make a note of it and redirect all the Service pages.--ArceusInator (talk | contribs) 14:57, 16 May 2011 (UTC)
You cannot multiply brackets
Starting from here, your maths goes all over the place:
|c|² = |c²| 5 ² = 4²-2•4•3i+3²+i² 25 = 16-24i-9
You've failed horribly. Although your initial statement is correct, the following one is attrocious. You've dropped the modulus symbol, and you failed to multiply the brackets correctly. This is how it should have gone
|c²| = |4² - 2×4×-3i + 9i²| = |16 + 24i - 9| = |7 + 24i| = √(7² + 24²) = 25
I might appreciate this "proof" if it involved some kind of trickery. But it does not. It merely involves a complete inability to multiply brackets.
Your argument is hereby invalid.
- It seems my Algebra 1 class doesn't give me enough material to debate this argument... Dangit!--ArceusInator (talk | contribs) 20:10, 24 May 2011 (UTC)
No Laser Guns
There's that black hole page though...
I thought I was more explaining how to use raycasting. : (
--ZackZak
- You've already made the page, so you might as well finish it. I'm just saying that you should try to avoid making howto pages. --ArceusInator (talk | contribs) 06:36, 10 July 2011 (UTC)
Your Signature
Does it automatically change, or do you have to change it?
- What do you mean? Why would it change? »ArceusInator 02:39, 11 July 2011 (UTC)
- Like per a day. You have it so that per a day of a week, it changes. I guess you manually do this?
- Right now I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong, so I took that functionality away. Anyways, you can use 21, 21, Thursday, or 4 (look at them in edit mode). You can find a full list of mediawiki magic words here. »ArceusInator 18:29, 11 July 2011 (UTC)
- I made it work - »ArceusInator. Use Template:switch. Having said that, I forbid you from using that until the colors are more bearable.
- Thanks. Unfortunently, I already spent some time, and found that page... :( Anyway, could you navigate to my talk page, and tell me why the buttons look really small on the top? Thanks.

Could you move your signature (or at least the rainbow text) into a template, like mine is? The code your signature generates is very long, which makes talk pages harder for others to edit. Thanks.
- Want me to set up your templates to work like mine? (obviously keeping your signature style)
- I'll do it. »ArceusInator 04:16, 18 July 2011 (UTC)
Callbacks
Is a callback not just a property of type "Function"?
- The object browser says it's a completely different thing, so I'm calling them callbacks. »ArceusInator 06:31, 28 July 2011 (UTC)
MrNicNac said it'd be best to get a couple of people's opinions before going ahead with it
Do you like the idea of navigational footers on pages like object pages, such as, for example:
User:Trappingnoobs/NavFooterTests
- Looks great, imo. »ArceusInator 01:08, 24 August 2011 (UTC)
