Signature
Could you add a timestamp to your signature? The two ways to do this are either to sign off with four tildes, or include {{<includeonly>subst:</includeonly>timestamp<noinclude>|=</noinclude>}}</syntaxhighlight> in your signature template.
- Yeah, I'll need to make a user page, currently I'm just using code I put in the input box.Trappingnoobs (Writer) Have I done something bad? Good? Tell me on my talk page!
- Ok, think I've done it. Just testing itTrappingnoobs (Writer) Have I done something bad? Good? Tell me on my talk page! 19:29, 16 July 2011 (UTC)
- Seems to work fine. Optionally, you could set it up like mine, so that you can update the style in future. Not necessary though, and more vulnerable to vandalism.
The tabs above
Although the concept is fine, it doesn't apply well to a talk page. Firstly, the + at the top adds a new section by default. More importantly though, the tabs have a bug / feature in them that means that you can't have headings inside the tabs, and therefore you lose the edit links. That makes it tricky to reply to responses.
- Aww it removes the titles? D:Trappingnoobs (Writer) Have I done something bad? Good? Tell me on my talk page 19:38, 16 July 2011 (UTC)
- I'm afraid so. You could still add some level 1 headings to split up the comments into four categories.
- Nah, it's fine. I just used those because it saved space, but I don't mind losing them.Trappingnoobs (Writer) Have I done something bad? Good? Tell me on my talk page 19:49, 16 July 2011 (UTC)
- Any idea why the link in my signature isn't working though? It's valid syntax but it doesn't even highlight red or blue when I hover it. :LTrappingnoobs (Writer) Have I done something bad? Good? Tell me on my talk page 19:50, 16 July 2011 (UTC)
- Because this IS the talk page! Wiki syntax doesn't link links that link to their containing page
- Ah, thanks :)Trappingnoobs (Writer) Have I done something bad? Good? Tell me on my talk page 20:12, 16 July 2011 (UTC)
"It's displaying preformatted where there's no pre tags"
That's a feature. Text indented by one space is parsed as code, and displayed within a pre tag automatically.
print("Like this")
See?
- Oh, thanks. I realy need to look this stuff up.Trappingnoobs (Writer) Have I done something bad? Good? Tell me on my talk page 20:34, 16 July 2011 (UTC)
- Actually, it's easiest to learn by example. Next time you see some new wiki formatting, try viewing the source to see how it's done.
Enum Syntax
Just wanted to thank you for starting the conversion between the old tables method, and my enum template solution. I created the new syntax, put it out there, and started converting, but no one seemed to be using it. Glad to see it being put into action :D Camoy • Contribs (July 20 2011)
- Thanks, I redid the enums completely a while ago, adding my new title template (I should move that to Enum/Title), and didn't realise you'd made a template. I got rid of all the enums from property pages too; and replaced with disambiguations. In some cases people were either updating two sets of the same enum, or the enum page didn't exist.Trappingnoobs (Writer) Have I done something bad? Good? RE: Soul, NXT said to redirect to ==
The == Operator page doesn't exist.

- Make it then. Nxt is like an editor or something, so he decides, not us 3:Trappingnoobs (Writer) Have I done something bad? Good? Tell me on my talk page 12:44, 16 August 2011 (UTC)
- I'll make it when I finish my fruit cocktail. So that'd be in about 5 hours I guess. 13:21, 16 August 2011 (UTC)
plugin questiong thingy
I didn't quite understand what you were asking there. Do you want me to create a dedicated page for plugins? I am thinking something of this nature,
-- Description of the plugin
-- Screenshot of the toolbar
-- What it actually does
-- Once this is setup, I would go through them and rate them so that we can have cool rating based top of the page plugins.
- I wanted you to add the plugin tutorial link to the Lua_Help page :3. That was what the wiki tag thing I gave you did, but I'm not allowed to edit the Lua_Help article because it's liek, locked from writers completely.Trappingnoobs (Writer) Have I done something bad? New Object Page Layout Addition
I honestly don't care what you do, but let me warn you that overhauling object pages is a pain. It will take a while and some people might not approve, I would get enough support from high-ranking Wiki Staff before you do so.
- I'm a prety patient person. I'd do it a bit at a time I guess. I'll ask some other people too to make sure everyone doesn't mind.Trappingnoobs (Writer) Have I done something bad? Good? Tell me on my talk page 13:38, 19 August 2011 (UTC)
Updatelog?
Most game wikis have an updatelog (Notably MCs.). We can obtain the Roblox version from, as far as I know, the registry. I'll go check now.
Ok. Not sure if Roblox update this, but hopefully they do, otherwise if we decide to do this we'll be calling them version-943253fuecjergfrujgbsdg.
Go into your most recent Roblox version folder, and right click properties on Roblox.exe, then click details. It'll say
File Version: 1.4.3.19
With this we can make an actual update log for Roblox! It'll make places much better, most place owners who need a feature, if it comes out, unless they're foruming on the day it comes out, it's unlikely they'll notice for months. With an updatelog, whenever Roblox updates, the wiki'll probably have a new entry on the updatelog!
Nice idea or bad idea?

- It's a good idea, but I'm not sure where you're gonna get the changelog from. I'd expect the version number to be incremented upon each compile.
- We'd make it ourselves. I'm not as active as I used to be so I won't be able to spend a lot of time, but even if it's not complete, it'd be nice for people to say "Oh, updating, while I wait, I'll check what's added". Obviously we won't get every minor detail but we should be able to figure out the bigger stuff - Trappingnoobs
- I like this idea. We can contribute any known changed. And when some 'secret' change is figured out we can just add it later. It won't be an "omnipotent changelog", but at least it will be something for people to look at. Who knows, ours efforts might attracts attention for the "upstairs" authorities. --☩MrNicNac - Wiki Editor ☩ 10:52, 7 October 2011 (UTC)
