Very good concept. Telamon hinted at using explosion.Hit, but this is much better. How do you plan on finding if a gap is jumpable? Do you mind if I use the concept? Eyegotbanned 08:21, 18 November 2008 (UTC)
I agree, this is a nice concept. Had I the patience to keep working at the AI problem I'd have something decent by now. The main question with this concept now is how to detect the 3D obstacles so that an AI could, say, climb a mountain.
Oh, well. I got only as far as the most basic Part-based wall detection goes. I probably wouldn't have a feasible solution for a few weeks, at the least.
My design was just going to be a simple one -- it would assume that all the bricks were lined up perfectly with the coordinate axes, but otherwise would have worked similarly to Steps 1 and 2 of your own algorithm. --Bob10110 14:51, 29 November 2008 (UTC)
