Signature

Might I suggest adding a date as part of your signature? It's generally accepted that signatures should include a date, so that people looking at a talk page can see how old a conversation is. Also, are you manually typing the signature template, or are you using the tilde syntax?

I am using three tildes when I enter my signature. In my preferences page I have a template, using curly brackets, that points to User:MrNicNac/Signature. I don't know why it throws everything from that page on there. I also have it set raw signature.

Thank you, both, for the signature tutorial things (especially you MNN, for allowing me to steal it) =) However, I was wondering: is there a way to change the time zone, or are we stuck with UTC?

@Merlin. You should only use ~~~ instead of ~~~~ because the ~~~~ automatically puts in the date, which you already have. I believe you can change the timezone thing in preferences. I wish I could just put in the date like 'July 8th 2011', but alas, it can not happen (as far as I know).

@NXTBoy. This is kind of ironic now, because you don't have a signature date/time.

When people see things like objects, sometimes they'd like to be able to skip to similar objects quicker. I made a quick draft (I can make it look nicer if necessary) for GUI Elements, take a look (At the bottom of the page):

I can redirect to any page I want to as long as it has the relevant information in it. Relevant, that is, pertaining to the link.

Yes, but the redirect makes no sense. Why can't that content just go on the help page? The redirect goes in the wrong direction. Also, you should really reply here - it makes the flow of the conversation clearer. That way, User:Tomtomn00 knows the reply to me is relevant to him as well

It does make the conversation much more readable by other people if it stays in the same place. Particularly since this section is about something you did, not about what I or Tomtomn00 did.
