My map design guidelines

What should you do in a map that makes it a bit better.

Stuff that you should follow to get a lot of visits

Yeah. You gotta follow theses if you want this place to get in games.

Place ClickDetector buttons in the walls.

When its in the floor, people will think you have to step on it. When its in the wall, people will think its a button you click on. If you dont do this, your map may be unrealistic >:).

Do not use too many free models.

If your place is 90% free models, its garuanteed it will PHAIL. My place may have about 5% use of free models, but thats a different story. Learn to use roblox studio and use keyboard shortcuts to avoid whatever that mouse sickness is.

Do not make Be a family, Obstical Course with same obsticles, Building places etc.

Roblox has too many of those places. Plan your map first. If you dont plan, you map might PHAIL. For building places, don't use a pre-selected list of bricks. Instead, use a Brick Machine.

Its very sad that people make awesome places, but they dont have scripts! Scripts are enssentail to make a place popular. Who knows if you gonna make an awesome boss, but you can't pwn it!

That means learn scripting

When you learn scripting, your place will have 2x a chance to get in games. Also, you only need to get free models 10% of the time. But i'll leave you with this: game.Workspace.[your name here].Torso:remove() </syntaxhighlight>

Learn BodyPosition, RocketPulposion etc.

Keep your brick count low

Use as less bricks as possible! Places with more than 10000 bricks will lag up and phail (again). Can your graphics card handle 80000 vertices? I dont think so.

Dont replace HopperBin mouse clicks with ClickDetector

ClickDetector doesn't have a function that tells WHO clicked it.

Not very important guidelines

You don't need to follow these unless you feel like it.

Don't use anti-lag scripts

They only modify debris. Remove them. Putting OVER 9000 will still wont reduce lag.

super roblox galaxy

This is a place i'm working on. It uses TylerMcBride's roblox galaxy kit. Heres a guide to the stars if you need help. Not much so there is no spoilers.

galaxy 1: n00b galaxy

a place that was used to be a beautiful place but now n00bs came here and h4x and make trouble! We need your help to get starz back from there! There are 6 stars in this place! Find them!

star 1

you go to the left and find the 1-star door then use the pull stars to go up. go ahead to the platforms and becareful not to fall to the black hole.

star 3

go right instead after you take the pull stars.

star 4

go find the cage on the right and destroy it somehow. then take the launch star and jump across the platforms.

star 5

this star is hard to get. take the 3-star door, keep going and you can beat a boss. the only stragety is to get far away from him. Only a true robloxian can pwn him >:).

star 6

when you take the launch star in 3-star door, go left instead and jump the spinners. take the launch star and jump the obsticals.

• Obstical course with the same obbys.
• Build to survive a ____________
• Can you fall a bazillion feet?

How to identify a newbie

• Has noob clothes
• Has an edited starter place.
• Doesn't chat (say Press / to chat)
• Most newbies go to the front page of the games section.

How to force a newbie to talk

Find a command script that lets people control people.
