Spooking Out is the winner of the Novetus Halloween 2022 place contest. It's a game about working together to catch ghosts!
Gameplay
Spooking Out is a round-based game. When a round starts, you and everyone else in the server explores a small map to catch ghosts. To catch ghosts, knock one out by attacking with your trusty Skullshot tool - which is eerily familiar to the Slingshot from classic Brickbattle games. Next, switch to the Grab tool to pick it up. Take it back to the big pit found somewhere in the map and throw it in! You can hold down left click to charge up your shot and throw it further. You earn Tickets for catching ghosts, which can be spent in the shop on items that enhance your gameplay!
Items
Items are permanent, but you can only have one equipped at a time. To equip a different item, simply step on the buy pad in the shop for it. To read the description, click on it.

Maps
Spooking Out has 5 maps. One of them, Campsite, was made by realjame. The rest are taken from existing classic places - Dark Hills, Ghost Town, Nowhere To Run, and Sharkrock Island.
Music
The game plays background music using a custom music script.
Modern Roblox port
This game has a port to modern Roblox, released on 2022-10-31. It has a few enhancements in the adaptation:
- Support for mobile, controller, and console
- Friend invite menu
- 5 badges to collect
