When creating a page, is it permitted to say "This article was originally made by [name]", and like credit? I want to double-check as I have found several pages which do this. Twila27 17:11, 15 May 2008 (CDT)

These rules tend to be poorly enforced, and scare people AWAY from correctly editing the wiki in fear of being locked out. Also, I notice that even though you're not supposed to talk in second person, people still do. Quantumnerd

The noobs that are ussually banned from here, never have read this. Probably the only people to read this are the people that it doesn't apply to (Which defeats the purpose of it being here). And yes, it does seem like a scare tactic. ⇒OutOfSpace

Add a __NOTOC__ to this. --Anaminus 08:22, 23 November 2008 (UTC)

Done! Mindraker 08:54, 23 November 2008 (UTC)

Thanks for adding the warnings section... D:

Yeah... it seems kind of odd that I'm not allowed to change my own talk page. --Anaminus 07:26, 1 January 2009 (UTC)
Yes, it's just a way to manage banninmgs. Until I learn php, we're going to be stuck with that method. ~Space
This has been discussed with ANormalUsername1 in detail. MINDRAKER 08:03, 1 January 2009 (UTC)
I know. Your burning me up. I wish I could make my own page for warnings specifically, so my life doesn't have to be targeted by guidelines.... Actually that's not a bad idea. I demand that all warnings go on a spacific page where the page name is User:*NameHere*/Warnings
As was mentioned to you specifically before, this applies to everyone, and is a means to simplify the administration of the wiki. This is a moot point. MINDRAKER 09:39, 1 January 2009 (UTC)

I know. Wouldn't it just make it so so so much easier just to post it on a specfic page. (Given that a Warning page is created when the account is created, of course)

I get that you put warnings there to notify the person and clear up confusion that might occur, but I don't see why it's neccessary to keep the warnings there. Is it for future reference? Can't you just look at the block logs when you're concerned about what actions where taken against someone? Couldn't the warnings at least be allowed to be a little more private than being displayed on a person's talk page for everyone to see? --Anaminus 12:20, 1 January 2009 (UTC)
Exactly what Anaminus said. User:ANormalUsername1/sig
No. The block log has nothing to do with warnings other than the result. There's a link to them and with them there, they remind you of your wrong doings everytime you get a message. Don't put them on another page. Don't remove them. And unless I say otherwise, or Mindraker makes a completely contradicting statement, my decision stands. ⇒OutOfSpace
I agree with Outofspace. Not all warnings or reminders result in a ban, therefore, the block log won't give a history of warnings and reminders. Therefore, keeping warnings and reminders on a talk page allows the easy reference of past warning and reminder history. It is a simple administrative tool.
In addition, if people don't like their warnings and reminders being visible "for everyone to see", they shouldn't break the rules or the other rules, not asking for a way to hide their warnings and reminders. MINDRAKER 21:09, 1 January 2009 (UTC)

That sounds fair to me! --User:gordonrox24

I approve. It's final. ---Mr Doom Bringer 02:25, 2 January 2009 (UTC)
That's what I was looking for --Anaminus 05:09, 2 January 2009 (UTC)
I hate the word final D: User:ANormalUsername1/sig

"This is the most awesome article ever! You should read it!"? Is that how you get back at me for a small edit? Stop holding grudges D=

I'm sure there is no grudge, it is just the best article ever!--gordonrox24 04:18, 12 January 2009 (UTC)

Doubt it D: User:ANormalUsername1/sig
Where on earth do you get the idea that it's a personal attack? I put it there so that everyone viewing would read it, because they should read it. ⇒OutOfSpace
