Redd City Economics
A work in progress by Briguy9876, it applies the priciples of Supply/Demand and price ceilings/Floors
What applies
Supply/Demand Supply and Demand is crutial, mostly because everyone relies on one another. If the farmer stops working, then everyone starves. The game runs if there is no Farmer, so no need to worry if there is 1 person missing
Price Floors/Ceiling Why does this apply? ITs going to be set in-game, because if one person charges too much, then no one can/will buy it, and everyone loses. Also, as the game progresses, the players are going to get richer. If you keep on rising your prices, no one is going to get anywhere. This is inflation, and it would be bad. Price ceiling will stop that.
Classes
Bartender/Innkeeper
--Sells Drinks to the others which keeps them happy. The Innkeeper half must keep the inn in full shape or else word spreads of his bad inn and no one will stay in it. --Must get ingredients from Store. Sells to all but the Mayor.
- Level 1 : 1 drink, 1 Room
- Level 2: Better Atmosphere
- Level 3: 3 rooms
- Level 4: 5 rooms, 3 drinks
- Level 5: Maid to clean up room, double money on buy
- Level 6: Read Below
Store Owner
--Sells general goods: Food, water, ingredients. He can price his own goods, but higher it is, the less people will buy. Supply and Demand here. The store owner has a limited room for items, so he must not overfill with items --Must get goods from the Farmer. Sells to all.
- Level 1: 10 item storage area
- Level 2: 25 Item Storage Area
- Level 3: Truck Dock for easy moving. Farmer must have Level 3, Must have Truck from Salesman
- LEvel 4: 50 Item storage area, double money on buy
- Level 5: Infinite storage.
- Level 6: Read Below
Farmer
--The Farmer must make food for the town. He can price how much the items cost, but Supply and Demand will take over. The Farmer has only so much room to store items while he waits for the store owner. --Makes his own goods. Sells to Store, or anyone with Level 6
- Level 1: 1 row
- Level 2: 2 rows
- Level 3: 3 rows, Truck attachment for auto loading. Store must have Truck
- Level 4: 4 Rows, Auto grow/store
- Level 5: 5 Rows, double money on buy
- Level 6: Read Below
Power Plant Owner
--The Power Plant owner supplies power to the town. Every 5 minutes, everyone in town is charged. The Power Plant owner must supply power as everything in town depends on him. IT costs money to run the plant --Makes his own goods, Sells to all.
- Level 1: Coal Power Plant
- Level 2: More effient
- Level 3: Nuclear Power Plant
- Level 4: More Efficent
- Level 5: Solar Power.
- Level 6: No charge to city, Read Below
Mayor
--The Mayor has one important job: Keep the town in check. The Mayor can lower/raise prices, but only if the whole town agrees to it. The Mayor gets his income from the Government, so the town isnt charged. However, the better job he/she is doing, the more money the mayor earns. --No goods. Goes to all.
- Level 1: Nothing
- Level 2: Lower Power Bills (No affect if PPO Level 6 is on)
- Level 3: Town Beautification (Increases tourism)
- Level 4: Warning System (Can Warn people about prices)
- Level 5: Helpers (Keeps town prices in check)
- Level 6: Auto mayor, Read Below
Salesman
--The salesman is the Cheater of the game. He can give you items that will make it easier for you. He is known to charge high for his items. --Gets goods from "Secret" source. Sells to all.
- Level 1: Can sell Cars.
- Level 2: Can sell truck to Store
- Level 3: Can Sell Small income every minute
- Level 4: Slower Hunger Bar
- Level 5: Can sell High income every minute
- Level 6: Read Below
Level 6:
Level 6 is the highest you can go, and is the same for all players --Extra income every 20 seconds. HIgher than the Salesman can give you. --Can buy food directly from Farmer -- No Taxes if PPO Level 6 isnt on
