To Edit your place, launch the ROBLOX Developer Environment from your Start menu. Editing is different than Visiting in the following ways:

  • When you Edit with Studio, your character is not in the Place.
  • Time is not running.
  • You can use standard editing tools like select, group, ungroup and cut/copy/paste.
  • You can save your work (either a Place or a Model) to your local hard drive.

Roblox Studio provides the opportunity to carefully craft a Place or Model prior to Publishing on ROBLOX. For example, to carefully edit your Place:

1. Launch Roblox Studio (It's in the Roblox tab on the Windows Start menu)

2. If necessary, log on to ROBLOX in the Start page.

3. Go to your Home. You will notice that beside the Visit option there is an Edit option.

4. Edit your Place.

5. If necessary, save temporary copies to your local hard drive.

6. When ready, choose "Publish to ROBLOX..." from the File menu to upload your Place to www.roblox.com.
