This is a basic guide on using my Stargate v8 models. Don't worry, I will be updating it with greater detail eventually.
This is a basic guide on using my Stargate models.

The latest version of Stargate is version 8. These models include a dialable DHD, with customizeable addresses, as well as a fully functioning (and rather dangerous) unstable matter vortex that appears when the gate is activated. These gates also allow for vehicles and projectiles to travel through them, although this has not been perfected, and vehicle travel through the Stargate is not adviseable at this time.

''Important'': It is strongly advised that you insert Stargates in Roblox Studio, and not Solo. Much of this guide assumes you are in Roblox Studio.

Revision as of 20:48, 12 September 2008

If you have any questions, and can't find an answer here in the wiki or in the Roblox forum's Help section, feel free to send a message to my Roblox profile. Please do not send requests for me to make you things; I will ignore them. I do read all my messages eventually, but not always immediately. ~~ Ganondude

My Places

Here you can find some general info on some of my more popular places. If you want to visit one, head on over to my Roblox profile.

Master Castle

In this Legend of Zelda-themed castle area you can battle, explore, or do pretty much whatever you want. The castlegrounds are a fairly large area, including the castle itself, the tower, the waterfall, the caves and the dungeon. There's also a hedge maze for those brave (or foolish) enough to attempt it. Secrets, such as the three hidden spells, are plentiful around the castle, and few people, if any, have found them all. There's even a rumour about some kind of super-powerful shadow weapon hidden somewhere, but that couldn't be true, could it?

  • Master Castle Spells Shirt - This enchanted garment allows the wearer to obtain all three of the hidden spells as soon as they enter the place, and can be purchased here.

Island Resort

This glorious getaway has all you need to relax; a wonderful ocean view, 300 channels in every room and a luxurious natural hot spring. There is also a small island with cabanas, free to use for all guests.

Stargate Galaxy

Explore the galaxy by use of the Stargate! This place has many different worlds to be explored; some of which contain hidden wonders, and others deadly traps.

Stargate Addresses

  • Spawn Station - 12,1,2,3,4,5,6
  • Abandoned Village - 6,7,8,9,10,11,12
  • Island Ruins - 3,4,5,6,7,8,9
  • Desert Temple - 9,10,11,12,1,2,3
  • Volcanic Research Station - 1,3,5,7,9,11,12
  • Derelict Naqahdah Mine - 2,4,6,8,10,12,18

Forgotten Cemetery

  • My entry in October 2007's Roblox Spooky Building Contest

The grounds of this graveyard have not been disturbed in many years, and you think you can just waltz in? I fear you may be sadly mistaken; the current "residents" may not like you disturbing them. But then again, it's all just superstition, isn't it?

Wonder Mountain Winter Retreat

  • My entry in December 2007's Winter Wonderland Building Contest
  • One of the Grand Prize Winners

This spectacular resort is filled with everything a guest could ever need to get through the tough winter, including warm beds, comfortable seating, and hot drinks.

Testing Zone

I usually have atleast one testing zone up, usually with content I'm working on. I know I could use Tools --> Test --> Solo, but making sure something works online is more important than it working on solo.

Stargate Usage Guide

This is a basic guide on using my Stargate models.

The latest version of Stargate is version 8. These models include a dialable DHD, with customizeable addresses, as well as a fully functioning (and rather dangerous) unstable matter vortex that appears when the gate is activated. These gates also allow for vehicles and projectiles to travel through them, although this has not been perfected, and vehicle travel through the Stargate is not adviseable at this time.

Stargates:

Stargate (Milky Way): This is a recreation of the gate found throughout the Milky Way galaxy, as seen in Stargate SG-1.

Stargate (Pegasus): This is a recreation of the gate found throughout the Pegasus galaxy, as seen in Stargate Atlantis.

Stargate Modifications/Add-Ons:

Iris Button: This button can be used to make an iris (or shield) appear on any Stargate v8, blocking anything from coming or going through the gate while it's active. To use it, simply cut and paste this model into the Stargate v8 model that you want it to effect. The script in this model can easily be modified to change the colour and transparency of the iris or shield.

Part 1: Using a Stargate

This section teaches you the basics of operating a Stargate.

There are two main parts to a Stargate, the gate itself (big round device) and the DHD (little round device). The DHD is usually situated directly in front of the gate. On the DHD's face, there are 19 buttons; the activation button is in the middle, and the coordinate buttons surround it. To activate the Stargate, you must dial a valid address using the coordinate buttons, and then press the activation button. If there is a Stargate associated with the address you dialed, the gate will open.

Part 2: Modifying a Stargate's Address

This section teaches you how to set (or edit) the address associated with each Stargate.

Stargate's LocalAddress

First of all, find the Stargate in the Explorer on the right. Click the plus sign next to it to open up the model, and then find the object named "LocalAddress". Select it, and then in find Value in the Properties (Properties should be below Explorer). This value is the sequence that must be entered on a DHD to connect to this gate; it can be up to 7 digits long, and each digit must be between 1 and 18, with no repeats and a comma between each.

For example:

1,2,3,4,5,6,7

2,4,6,8,10,12,18

The numbers do not have to be in any order:

4,7,14,6,17,1,12

The address does not have to be 7 digits long either, but 7 is the maximum:

1,2,3,4
