Your Page

I like the formatting and style you use. Nice work. ~ ⇒TomTomN00 @ 16:25, 25 September 2011 (UTC)

Thanks? I suppose I tried to make it look like a book page (to an extent). --MrNicNac 17:20, 25 September 2011 (UTC)

"Since when does your jurisdiction rule over mine? We have equal say here, and it is competition."

I'm not saying my jurisdiction rules over yours. I didn't mean that in an aggressive way.

However, the <center> elemtent has been deprecated since HTML 4. HTML 4.01 became a W3C recommendation in December 1999. That makes your code almost 12 years out of date. Here's what Wikipedia says about deprecation (emphasis is my own):

Deprecation is a status applied to software features to indicate that they should be avoided, typically because they have been superseded. Although deprecated features remain in the software, their use may raise warning messages recommending alternative practices, and deprecation may indicate that the feature will be removed in the future. Features are deprecated—rather than immediately removed—in order to provide backward compatibility, and give programmers who have used the feature time to bring their code into compliance with the new standard.

The web doesn't advance if people don't drop deprecated technologies. I'm not trying to one-up you here. As a web developer, I'm just trying to help move the internet forward.

That's very noble of you, helping the web advance and all, but until I am completely unable to use it then there is no reason why I should avoid it. If it were to somehow become unusable or unstable, that is a different tale. As long as I am sure the code I write won't have its functions disabled, then I don't see how using it should affect anyone. For now, it does exactly what I wrote it to do. --MrNicNac 22:22, 25 September 2011 (UTC)

Just so you know

Looking at TomTom's page, I feel I can upload 6 pictures to make a skybox.... which will most likely be used by a ton of people. I will include it in an article too. OK? - Quenty (talk • September 25)

You're not supposed to, but including it in an article is a loophole. So you should be fine. It doesn't bother me. --MrNicNac 22:48, 25 September 2011 (UTC)
I think someone said we shouldn't upload images that are going to be used in game (which readers will probably use them for) because the wiki can't handle nearly as many requests as the main site. I'm not sure if that's true or not, but I think you should just upload them on the main site and link to the decals instead of uploading them here. »ArceusInator 20:27, 26 September 2011 (UTC)
To be perfectly honest, Anaminus has done it (though how he got away with it, I have no idea), I am including it in a article. It will look pretty. I will use it. People will use it. We'll all be happy. - Quenty (talk • September 26)

Fixing positioning of elements

Can I make it so the outdated/need reviewing span is at the same level as the bio span?

I can. Feel free to revert, MrNicNac, if you preferred it as it was before.
16:13, 30 September 2011 (UTC)
Oops, misread that as can you make it. My bad.
16:17, 30 September 2011 (UTC)
Ah, thanks. I was going to ask one of you exactly how I could include both of them in one cell (is that the term?). --MrNicNac 11:45, 1 October 2011 (UTC)
Nope. "cell" inplies <table>s, and <table>s should NOT be used for layout. I think you mean in the same row, don't you?

I hope so. --MrNicNac 17:31, 1 October 2011 (UTC)

DISPLAYTITLE magic word

To quote wikipedia:

Under the present software configuration, only limited modifications can be made: the displayed title must still resolve to the true name of the page (i.e. if the displayed title is copied and pasted into a wikilink, the link should point to the original page). This means that DISPLAYTITLE can be used only for such modifications as changing an initial letter to lower case, adding initial colons, changing spaces to underscores, adding a space after a namespace prefix, and adding formatting (italics and bolding).

That's why your plan didn't work

Well you had a good run..

I disliked you a lot for what you were during the period where you considered yourself arrogant. Honestly, I'm arrogant myself, and it's understandable that two of those won't get along well anyways. Nevertheless, I will say you have achieved quite a lot here. Good luck with your writing journey.. -- Flurite

Hmph, that's great. But I already knew that. It's easy to tell when a whole population in a community dislike you for what you had done in the past. I don't regret or resent it. Not much I can do. MrNicNac - Wiki Editor

Reversion disagreement

I disagree with you reversion of the edit on this page. The change from 4.2 to 4.8 is necessary to show that math.floor is not simply a rounding function, but removes all precision from a float. I'd be in favor of a more down to earth explanation of that; however, if 4.2 is used in the example, some may believe that math.floor simply rounds down, which it does not. ⇒OutOfSpace

I've just made some major layout changes to that page. Included is the replacement of 4.2 with 4.8
