Hello, Blocco :) --Mattchewy (talk) 01:01, 21 August 2010 (UTC)
Hi. --Blocco|Userpage-Talkpage 01:02, 21 August 2010 (UTC)
Wazup :) --Mattchewy (talk) 01:05, 21 August 2010 (UTC)
I wish people would post on my user talk. I feel lonely :( --Mattchewy (talk) 02:02, 21 August 2010 (UTC)

JavaScript && CSS

I see you are creating CSS and JavaScript pages on the wiki. Can we actually use the files for other pages? If so, how? --Mattchewy (talk) 23:43, 28 August 2010 (UTC)

I think the CSS and JS are only for creating user-only skins to change the look of the site to that user rather than globally change the appearance of the site. see here --Sncplay42 23:47, 28 August 2010 (UTC)
Aww :( --Mattchewy (talk) 23:51, 28 August 2010 (UTC)

Did you get the JS&CSS edits to work? I can't for some reason. --Sncplay42 14:44, 4 September 2010 (UTC)

I don't think that user styles are enabled on the Roblox wiki. I distinctly remember it being an opt-in feature.
It seems likely. However, MediaWiki's help says "if it is enabled, you will see advice text at the top of your custom CSS page about clearing your browser's cache." I do see this text, which would imply that it is enabled. =/ --Sncplay42 15:31, 4 September 2010 (UTC)

c-c-c-combo breaker. Also, you're trying to steal my signature

I'm stealing your signature, lol :P

Blocco...

Look here to see how to do your signature right. I can't take you doing it wrong anymore...

02:42, 19 September 2010 (UTC)
I did it correctly.

If you look back at your sig after saving, you'll notice that it's substituting your entire sig instead of appearing as {{User:Blocco/sig}} as it should. --Anaminus (talk | contribs) 01:39, 20 September 2010 (UTC)
Blocco, look at the this page in edit mode. You will see it is not making a template as your signature, but instead its putting the whole code for the template in here. Look how yours is different from mine and Anaminus's signature in edit mode.
20:19, 20 September 2010 (UTC)
I'm aware that it is substituting a template.

Change it!! It's so much more efficient this way

More open to vandalism though. The practice of transcluding signatures is banned on wikipedia
06:47, 22 September 2010 (UTC)
I'mma quote Wikipedia here:
Transclusions of templates and parser functions in signatures (like those which appear as {{User:Name/sig}}, for example) are forbidden. There are several reasons for this.
  • Signature templates are vandalism targets, and will be forever, even if the user leaves the project.
  • Certain automated scripts (bots) are used to automatically archive particularly active talk pages. These bots read the source of the talk page, but don't transclude templates, and so don't recognize the template as a signature.
  • Signature templates are a small but unnecessary drain on the servers. Transcluded signatures require extra processing—whenever you change your signature source, all talk pages you have posted on must be re-cached.
  • Substitution of templates in signatures is permissible but highly discouraged, as any such template will typically either violate the reasonable length restriction of 255 characters or will be redundant to using the same content as a raw signature.
Simple text signatures, which are stored along with the page content and use no more resources than the comments themselves, avoid these problems.

Eh.... How can you keep the page from doing this everytime an unclosed div tag is seen?

This isn't Wikipedia, though. :P

Fixed. Lousy indentation syntax...

@"Is there a way to show deprecation?"

No, but just stick deprecated as the last parameter, and we can add it later.

Alright.

My Post

Why thanks cause now all my variable coding is ruined. You and emess ruined my page. [Unmarked comment left by ENET]

You can get the content from an older version of the page. If you have experienced an edit conflict, then the best thing to do is just rewrite it. Try to make a better title next time.  ;)

Wiki Edit On Tick

http://wiki.roblox.com/index.php?title=Function_Dump/Roblox_Specific_Functions&stable=0&shownotice=1#tick.28.29

The second example has useless, misleading variables. I didn't want to edit that part my self, but can you? I am sure you can see what I mean, but for help...

a,b,and c are useless. The documentation of the example(below it) even says it stores the difference in time in variable c, however, it does no such thing. All of example 2 is WRONG.

--Mysterio 14:28, 10 July 2011 (UTC) AKA ENET

When I read it, I see how you could have been confused. It's seeing how much time has passed since the storage of a+b into c.

How To: Get Sharper Images

Planning on adding step 3 to How To: Get Sharper Images any time soon?

Yeah. I'll add it now, actually.
