Why not just use this: π?
HTML has support for it, so why use fonts and everything?

- Because that renders in a serif font for me (and most likely other viewers), which does not make it look like ip. For me, that renders as a rectangle with no bottom edge. I had to look at it for a while on the Radians page before I realized it wasn't an n.
