The line signature

To create a signature that looks like the one on this message:

Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipiscing elit. Donec volutpat tempus laoreet. Quisque nec velit lacus. Duis nec lectus eu lectus sollicitudin vulputate eu nec.

Go to my preferences, check "raw signature", and paste {{subst:signature|your_user_name}} into the signature box.

Custom Signatures

To create a custom signature that can change at any time, use this process:

  1. Create a new page under your user page at /signature
  2. Add your signature. An example is: --[[User:Mr Doom Bringer|Mr Doom Bringer]] at {{{date}}}. Make sure to put the date parameter somewhere in it.
  3. Save the page, then go to my preferences, check "raw signature", and paste {{subst:sigwrapper|your_user_name}} into the signature box

Now at any time you can change your signature page, and all of your previous signatures will change.

Using your new signature

When you sign your posts, make sure you use ~~~ for your signature instead of ~~~~. This prevents the date being inserted twice.
