JavaScript && CSS
I see you are creating CSS and JavaScript pages on the wiki. Can we actually use the files for other pages? If so, how? --Mattchewy (talk) 23:43, 28 August 2010 (UTC)
Did you get the JS&CSS edits to work? I can't for some reason. --Sncplay42 14:44, 4 September 2010 (UTC)
- I don't think that user styles are enabled on the Roblox wiki. I distinctly remember it being an opt-in feature.
- It seems likely. However, MediaWiki's help says "if it is enabled, you will see advice text at the top of your custom CSS page about clearing your browser's cache." I do see this text, which would imply that it is enabled. =/ --Sncplay42 15:31, 4 September 2010 (UTC)

Blocco...
Look here to see how to do your signature right. I can't take you doing it wrong anymore...
- I did it correctly.
- If you look back at your sig after saving, you'll notice that it's substituting your entire sig instead of appearing as {{User:Blocco/sig}} as it should. --Anaminus (talk | contribs) 01:39, 20 September 2010 (UTC)
- Blocco, look at the this page in edit mode. You will see it is not making a template as your signature, but instead its putting the whole code for the template in here. Look how yours is different from mine and Anaminus's signature in edit mode.
- I'm aware that it is substituting a template.
- Change it!! It's so much more efficient this way
- More open to vandalism though. The practice of transcluding signatures is banned on wikipedia
- I'mma quote Wikipedia here:
- Transclusions of templates and parser functions in signatures (like those which appear as
{{User:Name/sig}}
, for example) are forbidden. There are several reasons for this.- Signature templates are vandalism targets, and will be forever, even if the user leaves the project.
- Certain automated scripts (bots) are used to automatically archive particularly active talk pages. These bots read the source of the talk page, but don't transclude templates, and so don't recognize the template as a signature.
- Signature templates are a small but unnecessary drain on the servers. Transcluded signatures require extra processing—whenever you change your signature source, all talk pages you have posted on must be re-cached.
- Substitution of templates in signatures is permissible but highly discouraged, as any such template will typically either violate the reasonable length restriction of 255 characters or will be redundant to using the same content as a raw signature.
- More open to vandalism though. The practice of transcluding signatures is banned on wikipedia

- Eh.... How can you keep the page from doing this everytime an unclosed div tag is seen?
- This isn't Wikipedia, though. :P
- Fixed. Lousy indentation syntax...

@"Is there a way to show deprecation?"
No, but just stick deprecated as the last parameter, and we can add it later.
- Alright.
My Post
Why thanks cause now all my variable coding is ruined. You and emess ruined my page. [Unmarked comment left by ENET]
- You can get the content from an older version of the page. If you have experienced an edit conflict, then the best thing to do is just rewrite it. Try to make a better title next time. ;)
